Dedeman increases sales by nearly 21 per cent in 2017

The Romanian DIY store and builders' merchants chain Dedeman recorded sales amounting to RON 6.34 bn (roughly EUR 1.38 bn) in 2017. This equates to an increase of 20.7 per cent compared with the previous year, when the company reported growth of 20.5 per cent and passed the one billion euro mark for the first time.
Dedeman has not opened any new stores so far this year. The most recent of its 48 outlets opened in Turda in September 2017. The next new store location has been announced as Bucharest-Pantelimon, although no date has been given yet.
The 48 stores in operation have retail areas ranging from 7 500 m² to 18 000 m² and stock a range of over 50 000 products. More than 10 000 people work for the company.
