Derome Aktiebolag is the first Swedish partner for the German building materials trade cooperative Eurobaustoff. The company has its headquarters in Veddige, around 50 km to the south of Gothenburg.
The Derome group is Sweden's largest family-run wood processing and wood trade company. Derome itself operates trade in wood and other building materials at more than 40 locations in Sweden.
Last year the company took over the building materials trader IMAB Industrihandel with two locations and the building materials chains Bygg-Aktiv Material with twelve locations. 40 per cent of external sales - SEK 7.5 bn (EUR 725 mio) are expected in 2018 - are generated by trade activities.
Five own sawmills, impregnation plants and production sites for pellets, prefabricated houses as well as roof trusses also belong to Derome.As well as in Germany, Eurobaustoff is also active in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and now also in Sweden.
