The Finnish retail group Kesko recorded net sales in its building and home improvement division of EUR 2.4478 bn in 2019. This equates to growth of 13.2 per cent overall and of 3.3 per cent in comparable terms. Net sales in Finland grew by 1.8 per cent to EUR 908.4 mio and in the Baltics by 18.8 per cent to EUR 715.5 mio. Net sales of Oma in Belarus increased in local currencies by 11.4 per cent to EUR 146.6 mio, in Norway by 7.2 per cent (Byggmakker, EUR 386.9 mio) and in Sweden by 75.1 per cent. Here a new distribution channel has been added: K-Bygg is directed at professional builders and contributed sales worth EUR 132.8 mio in 2019. On the other hand, the sales of K-Rauta in Sweden were down by 6.3 per cent to EUR 163.7 mio.
In comparable terms, net sales increased by 1.3 per cent in Finland and by 13.3 per in the Baltics, and decreased by 3.3 per cent in Sweden and by 7.8 per cent in Norway.
