The German DIY store chain Bauhaus has also been named as victim in connection with the ransomware attack on the US IT service provider Kaseya and its Swedish customers in recent days. However while Bauhaus does state that it had experienced "an IT security incident in the Danish national corporation in the period from 18 to 19 June 2021", it emphases that this was not associated with the latest cyberattacks. The incident temporarily affected the business operations of the respective national online shops and the 43 stores in the countries Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. However their impact "was (able to be) rapidly resolved so that the specialist centres as well as the online shops in the affected countries are now working normally again," according to a spokesperson for the company.
