Home Depot, DIY market leader in the USA and globally, increased its sales in the second quarter (1 May to 1 August 2021) by 8.1 per cent to USD 41.118 bn (EUR 35.009 bn). As highlighted by CEO Craig Menear in a statement, the company thus achieved quarterly sales exceeding USD 40 bn for the first time. Like-for-like sales grew by 4.5 per cent globally and by 3.4 per cent in the USA. In the first six months of fiscal 2021/2022 (1 February to 1 August), Home Depot's sales grew compared with the same period in the previous year by 18.6 per cent to USD 78.618 bn (EUR 66.938 bn). The increase in the first quarter was 32.7 per cent.
