Byggmax sales down sharply from record quarter

The Swedish Byggmax Group's sales in the first quarter were 25.1 per cent down on the first quarter of 2022, the company reported. From January to March 2023, the DIY group posted sales of SEK 952 mio (EUR 84.0 mio). Currency effects accounted for 0.4 per cent of the decline. Like-for-like sales decreased by 26.8 per cent. In its home market of Sweden, Byggmax reported sales of SEK 656 mio (EUR 57.9 mio), 25.1 per cent less than in the same period last year. Sales in Denmark, Finland and Norway were SEK 304 mio (EUR 26.8 mio), 26.0 per cent less.
