Toolstation grows 9 per cent in first six months

Toolstation, the professional sales division of UK building materials group Travis Perkins, grew 9.0 per cent in the first half of 2023 compared with the same period last year. Sales were GBP 410m (EUR 478m), with like-for-like growth of 5.9 per cent. However, sales had slumped 10.6 per cent in the comparable first half of 2022. In the UK, Toolstation increased its sales by 7.7 per cent between January and June 2023, with like-for-like growth of 5.4 per cent. In mainland Europe, the increase was 19.2 per cent.

In Benelux, where five new branches were opened to take the total to 118, sales were up 9 per cent. France saw the addition of three new branches, taking the total to 48, and delivered 42 per cent sales growth.
