Swiss DIY trade turns over 4.2 per cent less

Although DIY stores in Switzerland caught up in the second quarter of 2023, their sales were still below the corresponding level of the previous year. Turnover was down by 1.8 per cent overall and 0.7 per cent down in like-for-like terms on the same quarter last year. For the first half of the year, sales were down by 4.2 per cent to CHF 1.88 bn (EUR 1.97 bn) and by 2.8 per cent on a like-for-like basis. These figures were published by the German industry association BHB.
