Gardena is getting a new boss at the turn of the year: Maha Elkharbotly has been appointed President of the Gardena Division and will also be a member of the Husqvarna Group's Executive Board, as the parent company announced in a press release.
Elkharbotly holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Illinois and is currently President of I-Health, a full subsidiary of the listed chemical company DSM Firmenich. Previously, she held several leadership positions at DSM Firmenich, Lixil, Grohe and Whirlpool.

Her extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of sales, marketing, channel management and leadership will be of great benefit to the further development of Gardena. Maha brings extensive experience in brand building, international expansion, innovation and business transformation. This expertise will be central to further developing Gardena's position as a global leader in irrigation and driving smart garden systems, including robotic mowers for passionate gardeners,” Pavel Hajman, CEO of Husqvarna Group, commented on the appointment.
Elkharbotly will take up her new position on 1 January 2025 and will be based at Gardena's headquarters in Ulm, Germany.
