With 4,660 exhibitors and around 148,000 visitors, this year's trio of fairs – Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld – came to a close last Tuesday. Participants from more than 170 nations gathered at the fully booked-up Frankfurt exhibition centre. Visitors from the DIY store and garden centre industry were also in attendance, for example Hornbach.
‘The global consumer goods industry is facing enormous challenges – stagnating markets, structural changes and economic uncertainties. This is precisely where we come in. We leverage additional business potential and create a global network that strengthens resilience,’ emphasises Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt. This is also confirmed by BHB General Manager Peter Wüst: ’Frankfurt is more important than ever in 2025. In times of general uncertainty, end customers are keen to experience beauty and individual freedom, and buyers are looking for inspiration. The trio of fairs brings together all market players.’
Christmasworld showcased seasonal decorations and festive ornaments, and provided inspiration for city marketing and large-scale decorative concepts with its new ‘Christmasworld Take Off’ event programme.
The new schedule for Creativeworld, which began on the Friday at the same time as its sister fairs and ended on the Monday, was well received, the organisers emphasised. The Creative Academy served as a forum for product testing, networking and knowledge sharing. This year, the jury of the Creative Impulse Award for outstanding product performance was even more diverse. The winners reflected the continuing DIY boom, the fair emphasised.
With ‘The Lounge - Shades of Space’, Ambiente designer Fabian Freytag created an opulent and playful special presentation this year, in which artificial intelligence (AI) played just as much a role as in the lecture programme on the Academy stages. With the new premium brand area Interior Looks, the fair specifically targeted interior designers, interior architects and contract furnishers. Another new feature was the extended range for the hospitality industry.
At its tenth anniversary, the Ethical Style programme showed that sustainable product solutions are steadily gaining in importance: while 198 exhibitors received the corresponding label at the premiere, this year the figure was 354 across all three fairs.
The trio of fairs is also to be held concurrently at the Frankfurt exhibition centre in the future; Ambiente and Christmasworld from 6 to 10 February 2026 and Creativeworld from 6 to 9 February 2026.
