The fourth quarter deficit at Home Depot will be bigger than expected in like-for-like terms

Home Depot is obliged to report declining sales for December. This is leading to a marked reduction in comparable-store sales in the fourth quarter of the current 2002/2003 financial year, according to information from the vwd news agency. Originally the company based its figures on a drop of three to five per cent after adjustment, but now expects a reduction of up to ten per cent.
