Hagebau has regained a major partner in Austria. Building materials dealer Würth Hochenburger is rejoining Hagebau with its DIY store/retail and professional specialist store divisions. The company brings eight DIY stores and 17 professional specialist stores into the cooperation. It was already a partner of Hagebau until 2013.
However, the eight DIY stores will not operate under the Hagebaumarkt brand. Due to the high level of awareness of the Würth Hochenburger company in Austria, they will remain in the current organisational and CI structure, as well as in the procedural responsibility of Würth Hochenburger, according to the cooperation. The same applies to the professional specialist stores, which are not comparable to the professional specialist store system of Hagebau.
Würth Hochenburger also operates 24 building materials outlets throughout Austria, five locations in southern Germany and one location in Switzerland. The company employs more than 800 people.
‘Long-term partnerships with strong companies are very important to us. That is why there has always been a continuous and trusting exchange between Würth Hochenburger and Hagebau,’ reports Torsten Kreft, Managing Director of Hagebau Austria.
Othmar Lutz, CEO of Würth Hochenburger, comments: "Rejoining Hagebau is an important strategic step for us to sustainably strengthen our competitiveness in retail."
