Cross-border online trade in the home and garden sector continues to record considerable growth and is expanding at an accelerated pace, reports the Brussels-based platform Cross-Border Commerce Europe. It has evaluated 50 DIY online retailers and marketplaces in Europe and included them in a ranking.

According to the ranking, the online DIY market grew from EUR 56 bn to EUR 66 bn last year. The share of online DIY sales in the overall market (both online and offline) increased by 18 percentage points, from 15.2 per cent in 2023 (EUR 56 bn of EUR 368 bn) to 17 per cent in 2024 (EUR 66 bn of EUR 388 bn). The Brussels experts expect this growth to continue and the online DIY market to reach a volume of EUR 78 bn by 2026.
